Let’s talk about projectors. Usually, they don’t look very nice, and since they are projectors, they are often pretty noticeable. The new LG CineBeam wants to make projector look better.

The Qube, also known as model HU710PB, shows a really clear 4K picture, and it can be as big as 120 inches. It uses a special kind of light called laser to make the colors look great. LG says it has super good contrast and shows more colors than usual. It can also handle HDR 10, which is cool. But, it’s not super bright, only 500 ANSI Lumens, so you’ll want to keep that in mind if you’re considering the Qube in any well-lit room.
The Queb also sports 1.2throw ratio, which means it has to be placed at a decent distance from the screen (or wall) to show the full 120-inch picture. The smallest size it can show is 50 inches. So, it’s not one of those projectors that can be really close to the screen. But it does fix the keystone effect by itself, which is good feature.
But, that’s not a big worry because of how the Qube looks. It’s a bit like those old projectors or film cameras. It looks pretty cool in the picture they show, but your home might not have the same kind of moody lighting.

The Qube weight around 3.25 pounds. It uses webOs, so it can use many streaming apps from LG. It also works will with Chromecast and AirPlay. Plus, it has slots for HDMI (even eARC and USB-C.
They haven’t told us how it costs or when it will be available, nut we’ll see it at CES 2024 in Las Vagas.
